Founded in The Netherlands in 1953, Barentz has grown from a distributor of nutritional products with one supplier to a global leader. They provide performance materials and ingredients for human nutrition, pharmaceuticals, personal care, and animal nutrition. Today, they have more than one thousand suppliers, employ 2,600 people worldwide, and serve over 25,000 customers. Since its launch, Barentz has developed a solid reputation for its long-term partnerships and technical and market expertise. In fact, they still work with their first supplier from their earliest days. In 2019, private equity firm Cinven made a strategic investment in Barentz. This gave the company the platform and expertise to accelerate their global expansion plans. They were also able to acquire more than a dozen distributors to deliver on its ambitious plans. The result is a fast and balanced growth trajectory of double-digit organic and acquisition-driven revenue growth, resulting in a turnover of 2.5 billion euros in 2022. Human nutrition is Barentz' largest division and along with the Animal Nutrition division, accounts for around forty percent of the company's business. Barentz enjoys a very flat environment with short reporting lines considering it's a global enterprise. Vacature

The Finance Lead provides financial insights and data to help the Human and Animal Nutrition business leaders define and drive their division strategy. It's a vital business partner role that helps identify growth and improvement opportunities, and manages the divisions' FP&A to provide the data and insights and output of the data science platform and data analytics. As part of the global business control team, they also drive global improvement projects and the strategic planning cycle.

In the first year, the Finance Lead will create value for the Human and Animal Nutrition divisions and more. They implement optimized pricing based on data, financial and business insights. And as a business controller, they identify untapped value opportunities with the business leaders and create synergies by integrating processes.

The Finance Lead reports to the Director of Group Business Control and develops successful partnerships with other leaders in Barentz’ matrix organization. They work from the company’s global headquarters in Hoofddorp.
