SHV Energy

SHV Energy consists of a group of specialized energy companies, including Primagaz, Gaspol, SuperGasbras, SuperGas, Liquivex and Calor. They provide homes and businesses with decentralized energy solutions and services.

In the latter half of the twentieth century, SHV Energy invested in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). LPG is recognized as the cleanest available conventional fuel for consumers beyond the natural gas grid. Besides LPG, SHV Energy also offers Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), BioLPG and Biomass. The combustion of these fuels produces far less CO2 than coal or oil. SHV Energy is also developing solar thermal panels to provide hot water and space heating for homes and businesses.

The aim is to reduce emissions and create business growth by switching customers from solid fuels to lower-carbon solutions, and eventually to renewable energy solutions. The target for 2025 is to reduce five million tons of CO2. Compared to 2015 this would result in a 25% decrease of CO2/kWh distributed.
